"Where better to care for the soul than in the details of our daily lives?....The soul has an absolute, unforgiving need for regular excursions into enchantment. It requires them like the body needs food and the mind needs thought... An enchanted world is one that speaks to the soul, to the mysterious depths of the heart and imagination where we find value, love and union with the world around us. As mystics of many religions have taught, that sense of rapturous union can give a sense of fulfillment that makes life purposeful and vibrant." ~ Thomas Moore.

Aqua and Sea Foam Green

I'm having fun dying some things. I've never used these before, but the colors are necessary to me for some reason now and I found the only way I can have them to wear is through dying some pieces.

I previously mentioned how I just dyed a beach crochet wrap that I made here and you can see how the picture shows a true AquaMarine color. I also dyed a crochet camisole but left it in for less time for a lighter shade, but it is the same shade.

I wanted a sea green to go with the Aqua as I don't like to appear monochromatic in my colors, and a Sea Green with the Aqua would look lovely especially on the beach, and it is the beach whose colors are inspiring me, I have to say....colors where you always see the most amazing blues and greens in the same oceans......

pura Aqua!

The effects of the greens with the blues is magical oui? :D

I took the previously blue camisole shown here

and added a capful of yellow to the Aqua dye I still had in a bucket. I save it in case I want to color anything else, and I knew I wanted to play with a sea green. And here is the result. I didn't even leave it in for a minute.....it would have taken on more density in color and been deeper and I wanted a nice light Sea Foam green. I have it next to the beach wrap to show the color comparison. Luv it !
