"Where better to care for the soul than in the details of our daily lives?....The soul has an absolute, unforgiving need for regular excursions into enchantment. It requires them like the body needs food and the mind needs thought... An enchanted world is one that speaks to the soul, to the mysterious depths of the heart and imagination where we find value, love and union with the world around us. As mystics of many religions have taught, that sense of rapturous union can give a sense of fulfillment that makes life purposeful and vibrant." ~ Thomas Moore.

Bubbly Spirits and Christmas in May!

 Good Day Everyone...:D

It with with great humility and joy that I make this post today.
I'm just writing a post here because someone, has blown me away.
I have never experienced such generosity combined with well thought out and carefully chosen gifts.....ever.
Not from my family or friends, have I received such a box of treasures, as from one of my blogging friends.
I've been wanting to make a post, an Ode to Blogging Ladies since last year and haven't found the creative muse to find all the right words for the sentiments I have, but yet I should have done it anyway.
Now, I am blown away with such awe of generosity and thoughtfulness, and with beauty, and the details! oh the details! they say God is in the details, and I have seen it is true.

My Palomasea friend, sent me a gift box which I received in one day lol....unheard of!....and to which I must say was in perfect time, because I was again not feeling well. I was working hard, don't even remember anymore what I was doing, but I was hurting, and sore, even my hands and finger muscles sore.....from pulling a vicious kind of weed from the lawns which simply wont do for me anymore. But they are wicked deep and tough and it somehow became an addiction lolol, but to my own detriment. I got small slices into my fingers on both hands and I had to give up using them for a couple of days.

On this day I received this box, I was very tired, the housemate was home too and we had done a huge job with removing a diseased tree with the fattest roots I ever saw on a tree that size!!, and then! digging up a tangelo tree which was trying to grow but was smothered by the grapevines in the summer. My housemate never wanted to move it but I knew one day we'd have to, but that he would wait until it had grown, and was large and had deep roots before he decided to do it. Bad timing in my opinion, but sometimes one just had to wait! Now that we had a huge hole, and my lotus garden could not go in until the tree was in place, we decided to push our boundaries and dig it up (with fingers) and plant it and be done with it once and for all. It was work! I was sore. But we did it. Then I came in to shower and found a box the mailman had left, and housemate John began to cook dinner! a joy that is! lolol.

I tried to open the box but my fingers no longer had strength so John opened it for me but did not take anything out. I came out of the shower clean and fresh to open a box of treasures, I will always be extremely appreciative of,  because they were so well thought out, personalized to me, and so generous! of my champagne bubbly friend palomasea.
I wondered what it could be because the earrings she said she was sending could not have been this big, lol, and I hoped I was not confused. But I opened the box and saw several things wrapped with very pretty paper, individually, and I felt like it was Christmas of the best kind! Unexpected and in May! My housemate cooking, so those smells were causing delights, and here is this beautiful box with mysterious treasures! One after the other I opened each one and heard myself saying "OH, this is too much!" Oh MY God!''.....over and over .......and over........and over.......until I realized I had to say something else before John decided not to give this LOUD parrot any dinner!.....and so I began to say....."she is crazy!" LOLOL.....OMG.....she's too crazy!" :D:D:D

The silver box was first, and it is just about a perfect match to my silver bedroom walls! and I KNOW that is no coincidence! It is now holding some flower seed packets to be planted in a couple of months from now.
The blue tulle with sparkles? Tinkerbell must be very green right now! I literally did a ballerina twirl ! Christmas Spirit was here and very strong.....I was glowing, and squealing and in shock, and awe!
The aqua earrings!??? aqua AND sparkle! you kidding me? :D:D:D
and not just one pair which went on immediately as I just about yanked off my own favorite pair from Bali, Indonesia.....but these went on straight away....and the other aqua ones went into the holes I have further up my ear.....I wore them both that night! and did a twirl! LOLOL
There was NOTHING mature about my response to this, people, nothing at all !....I was just a little girl with Xmas here just for me!

I opened the heavy one.....oh no!.......could it be? all of a sudden my hands went limp.....I was holding in my hands a very rare jar of rose petal jam from an artisan company whose very pride is this rose petal preserve! I had read that Armenia has some of the best, and now its in my hands!
But wait! theres more!! LOL.
A tin of tea? I'm feeling a VERY special morning coming on, and I certainly was planning on it!
A beautiful card.....with our lovely Marie A. on it......but WITH SPARKLES ??! Couldn't be more perfect! ~ What was written was the sweetest, in a most beautiful handwriting.
the envelope sealed with a flower.

and.....I held something flat......but my fingers have a sense of smell for this very thing and even through wrapping my fingers knew it was chocolate. This one was wrapped with fabric ribbon with cherries on it.....and then I opened it and......the chocolate has cherries IN IT !.....details people!! :D:D:D

I could go on, but I must stop here........

but Palomasea, I have no idea what I did to deserve this and your generosity, but I am overjoyed with delight. I have kept the items on the table to remind me of this Christmas Spirit all over my table and am planning tomorrow a day of your tea with rose petal preserves and then chocolate later, because today my housemate John brought the bread for my rose crostini's!

Tomorrow I am planning on taking everything given, and wearing them, and using them in the most magical of ways, to honor this most generous spirit of Palomasea!

I cannot thank you enough!

 All my love,
