"Where better to care for the soul than in the details of our daily lives?....The soul has an absolute, unforgiving need for regular excursions into enchantment. It requires them like the body needs food and the mind needs thought... An enchanted world is one that speaks to the soul, to the mysterious depths of the heart and imagination where we find value, love and union with the world around us. As mystics of many religions have taught, that sense of rapturous union can give a sense of fulfillment that makes life purposeful and vibrant." ~ Thomas Moore.

Thrifty White Finds

I've mentioned before that I'm loving the thrift store here. With only $10.00 and even $5.00 I can go 'SHOPPING'.
There are some things I would like to have but because of space and lack of storage I have to be extremely careful what I bring in to this house. Everything has to be used or loved, there is no room for simply collections etc. But lately I've been wanting some creamy kitchenware. I've seen so many pictures of these looking so beautiful and I didn't have anything like it. I said if I see them in the thrift for $2.00 or so, then I will pick it up. Eventually I'll have my creamware....or at least some things. Only I don't want to see ''made in china''.
I have some things now that are very sweet and I'm glad I found them and I certainly will use them too.

This teapot is Pristine England pottery and I have plans to do something with this....stay tuned :D
What I do not like about it is it doesn't have a strainer inside which is inconvenient because I use only loose herbs for my tea blends.

This is a little gravy bowl but since I never use gravy it will be for maple syrup. I love the embossing!
Sorry the pics don't show the details.

Better pic I found here

This is a tiny little thing probably for sugar for fairies. Its really small, and made in Italy. Also lots of great detail and embossing that doesn't show well here.

A classy and demure simple white pitcher which is not so simple due to her elegance! She has great curves!

A tureen only $5.00 also made in England.

I found all these items in the same store in the past month total of about $13.00. They look nice all together.

This is a gorgeous linen bedcover? for a twin size, or a rectangle tablecloth. I adore the crochet on the edges!
$2.99 :D:D:D

I've been sleeping with it as a blanket....works fine ! :D

I'm not a lover of traditional tea cups and saucers. I love using my simple seashell embossed clear glassware for tea as I can see the color of the tea. I appreciate everything I put into the glass. I love multifunction everything.
However....when I saw this today, I fell in love with it, so it came home with me. I may keep it or give it away.
It is "Golden Rose" cup and saucer by Royal Chelsea, bone china. Very pretty.

I love thrifting, and I hope more people look into what I call a fine art of Green Living by reusing, recycling, reloving what is already here and needing new homes.....there is soooooo much out there !

blessings.

    1. Oh I so agree, and I only just found out when I put one up just to leave my thrifty finds in the sun! When I kept seeing the whites and laces blowing in the winds amidst the green gardens, I was enchanted and have put things on the line just to have them there! LOL

  10. You got some great white pieces! Sometimes our Goodwill has some good ones, too. What I love about the whites is that you can put them together and they all go, so you can mix and match whatever you find.
